At the behest of the Tanzanian Government, the green field project of Bagamoyo Sugar Limited (Bagamoyo Sugar Vacancies), a unit of Bakhresa Group, was incorporated on 01 December 2016, to grow sugar cane in the nucleus estate and produce sugar at Makurunge, Bagamoyo District.
